Close Down Koh Larn to Arrest Mafioso gangs

Commanding Police officers from Chon Buri closed down Koh Larn in order to squash mafia gangs.

Koh Larn (Pattaya) – October 23, 2013 [PDN]; Several high-profile police commanders who were active in Chon Buri and Pattaya ordered to close down Koh Larn in order to arrest gangs that were active in the area. The gangs had the tendency to loan out a money at high interest rates, to open illegal gambling places and many more illegal crimes.

 

Six suspects were arrested in the bust. The suspects aged from 29 to 43, all were suspected of either opening illegally gambling places or loaning money.

The Chon Buri Police commander stated that police came to the attention to these mafia-esque gangs after people who lived in Koh Larn and Pattaya City complained to police that the gangs were having such behavior.

All suspects are in police custody and are awaiting further charges.
