Golf In February 2014

I apologize if I come off as too much of a newbie however I had some questions regarding golf in Pattaya.  I would consider myself a reasonably avid golfer of questionable talent ( around a 12 hdcp)   I like to play every day on vacation.  Is there a way to connect with guys wanting a game, ( I can play alone no problem but I understand it is harder to get tee times.)

Is there something I should know about getting games in Pattaya?   In Phuket I had no problems getting all the early tee times I wanted but i get the feeling it will be different in Pattaya.  

Or is it best to contact someone like golfasian and let them organize it.

I am in Pattaya Feb 15 to the 22 and can play the 16 to the 21st inclusive.

loads of societys,the golden ferret golf society is good,or try lewiinskys golf bar,either should be adequate.

All sorts of Golf trips in the numerous Bars that cater to golfers...LK Metro are several Bars that offer Golf and Soi Leekee as well...

Contact the Tara Court hotel they have a society outing every Sunday, Tuesday & Thursday.

You would be made very welcome by these guys as its who i play with & i'm there every December & January but i'm going home on 3rd Feb otherwise i'll meet u for a game...

I think I've got a young gun from Australia coming over in February playing/staying with us for about 2 weeks before he heads back to Bangkok to try to qualify for the Asian Tour. He plays of +6 I've been told, so he'd be good to have a round with.

I might pop in in December and see what you guys are getting up to. Not too sure if the +6 guy would be a good round. In my own little world I'm a pretty decent golfer - might be reduced to tears watching somebody who actually knows what he's doing.

You can look at the Pattaya Sports Club website and golf section.  They have about a dozen bars/groups affiliated with them and the website posts their planned schedule for the current month so you can see who is playing where.  The various bars are a good alternative for play as they include transportation which is the biggest issue as a single golfer.  You can also buy the Pattaya Mail English language paper which comes out each Friday.  They show the upcoming weekly schedule for many bars which may be more up to date.  Lots of good options available although most do not do every day so you probably need to play with more than one group to fill your schedule.

There's also "The Golf Club" on LK Metro. They have great bbq's too. As mentioned a lot of places around LK so you might want to think about staying in that area if you haven't booked a place yet.

Also check out TRGG Pattaya they have a web site and play  Mon,Tue,Thur and Saturday ! have a few Canadians playing out of there and are central in soi lenkee- Ned Kelly Bar,(transport provided)

Lots of bars play during the week and all mentioned previously are great.  You would probably be able to find one close to where you are staying.

you do not have to join the P S C,Le Katai on Soi Lengkee,you can play with them,mon thru fri,no need for membership,turn up and play,why pay 900 hundred baht,if you dont have to.
