Chinese Woman Drowns In Koh Larn After Her Foot Cramps

A Chinese tourist tragically drowned in the seas of Pattaya following a cramp in her foot. No-one was able to rescue the Chinese woman in time as she was too far away from the shore.

PATTAYA – October 13, 2013 [PDN]; Pattaya Police were informed that a tourist had drowned at the nearby island of Koh Larn. A rescue and police team were immediately rushed out to the scene.

The victim was identified as 21 year-old Ms. Su Lan, a Chinese national. Police met with two of her other friends who were waiting for the rescuer’s arrival.

Mr. Su Lan’s tour guide, Mr. Chang Liu stated that he brought his 35 Chinese tourists to Koh Larn in order to let them swim or lie on the beaches of Koh Larn.

Witnesses said that as Ms. Su was about 30 metres off shore, her foot suddenly cramped, she was desperately screaming for help. But when help arrived, she had already drowned.

Her body has now been sent to a Police Hospital where doctors will undergo an autopsy on her.
