The Vice-director of Soksisupan Police station (Sakonnakorn Province) and his fellow police officers were able to help or arrest two Thai women who were tricked into prostitution in Bahrain. A social network was used to communicate with the two women.

SAKONNAKORN – September 20, 2013 [PDN]; Police Lt. Colonel Tanin Jindamanee, the Vice-Director of Soksisupan Police station was able to rescue two women aged 24 and 26 from Bahrain after they were tricked into working as prostitutes in Bahrain.

It was reported that Police Lt. Colonel Tanin was contacted by the two women over LINE, a chatting application and Facebook. As soon as they received the pleads for help, police immediately investigated. It was known that the two were tricked to work in a Thai massage parlor, but when they arrived, they were informed that they’d have to repay their 200,000 THB debt for their flights, forcing them to work as prostitutes in Bahrain ever-since.

The two victims are scheduled to arrive in Thailand on September 22, where they’ll be firstly questioned by the police. 5 other Thai women are believed to be still in Bahrain working as prostitutes.

Police will try to expand the case and help the remaining Thai women that are still being forced to work in the sex trade.
