Scammer Arrested After Scamming Money in Sattahip

A 28 year-old man was arrested by Sattahip Police for faking documents as well as scamming money off people in Sattahip.

Chonburi – September 17, 2013 [PDN]; The Chief District Officer of Sattahip District together with Sattahip Police cooperated together to arrest Mr. Saran Moksak, aged 28, after a court arrest warrant was issued for faking documents and as well as scamming people in the Sattahip district.

Mr. Pawat Lertmukda, the Chief District of Sattahip revealed that Mr. Saran, the suspect, tends to claim himself as a civil officer and says that he has contacts with local politicians in the area. In order to prove himself, he faked government documents in order to get the trust of his victims. Additionally, it was known that Mr. Saran had been already once before for the very same allegation, faking documents, he scammed 300,000 THB of a former minister.

Mr. Saran has confessed and accepted his charges. He revealed that he researched information regarding the scam from the internet and that he was able to fake documents by scanning the signature of high-profile politicians in order to fabricate the documents.

From further investigations, Police came to attention that many people were scammed in this sort of fashion many times. Police have now requested anyone who was scammed by Mr. Saran to come to Sattahip Police station in order to broaden his charges.
