Have had an issue for nearly a couple of months now. The skin underneath my bellend seems constantly red and looks inflamed. No reall pain no sores mildly uncomfortable at times but mostly not but to look at it seems very red. Been to the doctors twice, first time he just prescribed canosten cream for a couple of weeks, had the whole std check up and everything clear. Cream didn't help just stayed the same. Some days I might add it really doesn't look much at all. But anyb kind of action ie a wank and it looks super inflamed and feels sensitive for a day or so. Second visit he puts me on a 10 day course of penicillin which I have just finished but sadly again no change. So just wondered if any one had any suggestions as to what it could be. Will go back to the clinic next week.

I had something similar recently, same process, STD check all clear. I do however have sensitive skin, occasional small psoriasis spots etc. Canosten (think it is spelt wrong) is an anti inflammatory cream so I can only think that they believe it is a reaction to something.

I was told to stop using normal soaps, body washes etc, and stick to QV wash which contains no soaps, colours, perfumes etc, you could use sorbalene as a substitute. Could also be a reaction to condoms.

So ask your self, have you changed soaps etc recently, do you have fair sensitive skin. If this is the case switch to sorbalene especially for you genitals, keep using the Canosten however something stronger (elocon ointment) will probably be better for a few weeks to really get it cleared up, even when you think it is gone, keep up the treatment as it is likely still present and will come back.

Any wanking or regular sex will inflame the area so minimise while you are treating. Hope this helps and your problem is as easy to solve as it was for me.

"...Will go back to the clinic next week..."

There is one big problem right there...going to a clinic.  Get yourself to a hospital.  I can't say you will get a solution, but certainly more competent treatment.  I went to a clinic here for a problem with a loss of hearing in one ear and was ultimately told by this clinic quack, "at least you have another ear" and that diagnosis cost me 500B.  Went to a hospital (Queen Sirikit in Sattahip) and the wax blockage was removed, problem solved professionally and competently for 320B.  Banglamung Hospital is closer in north Pattaya or go to any of the three private hospitals here, Bangkok Pattaya, Pattaya International or Pattaya Memorial.  There's a new one on Soi Buakhao, Pattaya City Hospital, I believe, but not sure if they are fully operational yet.

Anyone who cannot cope with mathematics is not fully human. At best he is a tolerable sub-human who has learned to wear shoes, bathe, and not make messes in the house.

If Canesten did not work then the problem still could be a fungus since it is a fungicide, it is for athlete's foot not athlete's cock. It is not an anti-inflammatory cream.

Depending on where you are you can try any cream for women's yeast infection which is usually Clotrimazole, all generics are fine, so buy on price. They are harmless if that isn't it (unlike randomly taken antibiotics, advised here time and time again).

A very low strength hydrocortisone cream 1/2 or 1% over the counter can be mixed into the antifungal. Or betamethasone cream, as long as it is the lowest potency. There are some very high potency cortisones (like amcinonide or valerates) that are far too strong so don't get the strongest you can find because "if a little is good, a lottle is better".

See if one, the other , or both relieve it. Men can get thrush which is the yeast that women get, and they treat it with the ovules or ointment for yeast. It can cause redness and inflammation.

Since urologists deal with inside the urinary system, more bad advice, see a dermatologist. They handle skin issues.

It sounds similar to something I had in Pattaya a year or so ago.  It turned out to be nothing more than a heat rash.  A mild steroid cream (Elomet) cleared it up in a few days.

You might consider wearing loose fitting underwear if you are not already doing so.

I have no idea how young you are but I had a similar problem back in 2000 when I was 28.During a holiday in Bangkok I had sex so much each day that I had a very similar symptom of reddish irritation.Eventually the skin began to look almost translucent and then split slightly and blood became visible.I literally was having sex so much my dick was coming apart. :GoldenSmile1:  :GoldenSmile1: Only in fucking Thailand. My point is the only way to alleviate this would be to stop screwing which wasn't going to happen.I kept going and the chafing kept getting worse. It seems your 'wanking' is the main problem.

I'VE BEEN TO THE FUCKING MOUNTAINTOP !!! :Party3:

Sorry first post was on Phone

This is what i mean

Ghosty

What is balanitis?

Balanitis is an inflammation of the end of the penis (the glans). Often the foreskin is also inflamed at the same time as the glans. (The foreskin is the loose skin that covers the glans if you have not been circumcised.)

Balanitis is common, and it can occur at any age. It more commonly affects boys aged under four years and also men who have not been circumcised. About one in 25 boys and about one in 30 uncircumcised men are affected with balanitis at some time in their life. It is very uncommon in men who have been circumcised.

Slighyly of topic but Be careful with any cortisone creams, and self diagnosis in general, I had some pimples aroundy mouth and nose and went to a pharmacy here in patts and they gave me some cream that seemed to calm it down but a week later had gotten so inflamed I was embarrassed to go out. I went the pattaya international hospital and the dermatoligist said I had perioral dermatitis, which was caused by the skin becoming dependent on the cortisone. Had a weeks treatment with a milder cream and doxycycline and its cleared up . Three cheers for self diagnosis hey!

she asked "do you lub me?" i replied "i lub fucking you!"

Hi.

I suffer from psirosos I think it's called, affects mainly elbows and scalp but also the knob, causes redness and scaley skin.

I use Diprisone steroid cream, it's only available on script here in Australia but can be bought over the counter in Pattaya.

This might help.

I would do what the doc advised and just wash it with plain water for a week or so first before trying any creams etc

Yes Bellanitus is what the Doc said it was. First canosten cream. Did not help then 10 day course of a penicillin which also had no effect . Will go back to the doc next week.

I am back in Melbourne I don't live in Patts.

The clinic I go to serves the local gay/trans community. The gp's are all specialist in sexual health.

Thanks for all the replys

Baby powder. I know it sound stupid, but it did work for me and almost all Thai ladies use it for the same reason. It prevents the redness by removing the moisture from the skin and alleviates the pain by a great deal.

Better ask a dermatologist, but I think that nobody is allergic to it, so it should be a safe remedy.

A lot of sex often means a lot of showering I.e., soap and water. Some soaps can seriously dry out or otherwise damage sensitive skin with overuse. Try using 'Pinetarsol' for a week or so to see if it helps. I had a similar problem when I was working in Central Russia about ten years ago, fucking my brains out every night after work. I was living in Oz at the time and I was prescribed Pinetarsol soap and gel when I got back to Perth. It worked a treat.

Canesten HC and Triderm are the two creams I would try if self medicating but a good doctor is always your best bet.

Hope this helps.

Cheers.

My doc suggested circumcision because I get it frequently, with or without sex. First time a couple of years ago by unprotected anal sex. Not in Thailand, but with a girlfriend. It's more sensitive ever since. There can be all sorts of causes, viral, bacterial, fungi, allergies, self-treatment is a guessing game.

Don't use anything like this it will only make it worse. Use salt water to wash it each time. Take some salt sachets if you are going down Soi 6. I get the same thing, doctor thought it was herpes but it's just balanitis from over use when In LOS.
