Agent Forging Visas Arrested

Mama, a lady detained for foraging visas to foreigners coming into Thailand. She confesses working with an Indian man who supplied these visas to her.

BANGKOK – September 11, 2013 [PDN]; at 2:30 PM police officials released to the press about the arrest of Mrs.Piyamat 39 years old , who resides in house number 6,Soi Ramkhamhaeng 20. Mrs.Piyamat known as ‘Mama’ who has an agency issuing forged visas to foreigners entering Thailand at the embassy of the Thailand in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She is now under arrest.

According to Maj. General Nanthorn investigating since 20 July at Mukhdahan province, Mr.Samuel Ncha Ekwale, Cameroon citizen was travelling from Thailand to Laos and submitted a passport cover sheet issued by the embassy of Thailand in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. But he had never travelled to Malaysia before Mr. Samuel claims that he had been in touch with a Thai girl name ‘Mama’ residing in Bangkok who is responsible for issuing his visa. It was reported that 300 of these are stickers are missing from the embassy in Kuala Lumpur. And if anyone found using these forged they will be detained.

17 people have been arrested for using forged stickers and three are now under investigation. After detaining the suspects they claimed that they have received these forged visa stickers from a supplier in Bangkok. They confessed her name was ‘Mama, after the sketches were made she had been identified as Mrs. Piyamat. The police have gathered evidence and have arrested her.

Mrs.Piyawat have forged visa three times already. She started doing it after she was contacted by Mr.Kumar Ramesh, 41 years old Indian citizen who works at The Mall Bangkapi since 2012. He makes the visas for foreigners to enter Thailand for $ 1,000- 30,000. That is how she issued visa to these three foreigners which are one Nigerian citizen (caught in immigration) one Cameroon citizen (caught in immigration) one Filipino maid that has escaped. These visas will have normal access to countries however $100 or 3,000 is shared for each forged visa.

After investigation it has been found that the suspect is dating a staff working at the embassy in Kuala Lumpur and other countries therefore they have access to these visas. The name has not been revealed yet, further investigations are at works.
