Singaporean Woman Injured After Jumping Off From 5th Floor

A Singaporean woman was severely injured after she jumped off the balcony of her hotel which was on the fifth floor.

PATTAYA- September 9, 2013 [PDN]; Pattaya Police were informed that a foreign woman had jumped off from the fifth floor balcony of the Siam Bayshore hotel in Pattaya. An emergency response team and police officers were immediately rushed out to the scene.

The woman who jumped down was identified as 42 year-old Ms. Ang Gek Noi, a Singaporean national. It was reported that her upper leg’s bones were broken and that she was having difficulties breathing, she was in a severe condition. Ms. Ang was rushed out to Bangkok-Pattaya Hospital in order to receive emergency treatment.

Ms. Ang’s husband, Mr. Chua Wee Peng, aged 42, told police that when after they went back to their hotel room after drinking at a pub, Ms. Ang wanted to drink more alcohol, but Mr. Chua refused to let her drink more alcohol, fearing that she’ll be too drunk. But Ms. Ang didn’t agree with Mr. Chua, which led to an argument between the two, which eventually made walk out to balcony and jump down.

Investigation officers are currently asking more witnesses that saw the incident for evidence purposes.
