Tourist Court Finally Opened In Pattaya

A representative of the Pattaya Provincial Court said that the government strives to help tourists with their both civil and criminal cases, which resulted in the formation of the Pattaya Tourist Court. 6 more tourists courts are planned to be opened throughout Thailand soon.

PATTAYA – September 5, 2013 [PDN]; At the Pattaya Provincial Court, a opening ceremony was held for the newly opened Tourist Court or Tourist division, where cases filed by tourists or foreigners would be processed faster and more efficiently.

Mr. Pichart Thepnoo, the Chief Judge of Provincial Court said that this is Thailand’s first Tourist Court in order to support tourists that were taken advantage of locals or criminals.

The court was made to give justice to tourists and to make tourists feel that they are protected by the law. The court allows tourists to consult with judges as well police in order to find solutions with their problems.

It was known that 6 popular cities or provinces will have a Tourist Court, these places include Chiang Mai, Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi, Pratumwan and Dusit district.
