AHTD Arrest Uzbek Woman For Human Trafficking

The AHTD (Anti-Human Trafficking Division, Royal Thai Police) arrested an Uzbek woman for forcing her compatriots into prostitution in Soi Nana, Bangkok.

BANGKOK – September 5, 2013 [PDN]; At the AHTD Headquarters, Police Maj. General Chowalit Sawangpuet, the Commandant of the AHTD together with Police Colonel Chitaphop Tormuan of the AHTD announced the arrest of Ms. Firusa Dinaradilia, 31 and Mr. Pornchai Pantikot, 45. They were reportedly arrested for human trafficking, locking up and raping women. The two were arrested in a hotel in Bangkok.

Police Maj. General Chowalit said that on September 3, the Uzbek Consul brought 25 year-old Ms. Debbie (alias), an Uzbek national to the AHTD in order to file a report after she was offered to work in Thailand where she was offered to earn much more money than in Uzbekistan.

On August 21, Ms. Firusa offered her to pay for Ms. Debbie’s flight to Thailand. Ms. Firusa who then picked her up at Suvannabhumi Airport brought to a condominium in the Nana district. Ms. Debbie (alias) said that Ms. Firusa took all her traveling documents and gave her in to Mr. Pornchai who then forced to work as a prostitute in Soi Nana in order to pay for her 90,000 THB flight that Ms. Firusa paid her. She was forced to work as a prostitute from 08.00 PM until 06.00 AM.

Ms. Debbie (alias) couldn’t take it anymore as she had to service several men per day, which made her decide to ask for help at the Uzbek Consul, which eventually led to her AHTD report and the arrest of the two criminals.

Ms. Firusa and Mr. Pornchai are now in the AHTD’s custody, they’ll now be charged for several human violation cases.
