Microsoft Buys Nokia Company

This take-over was half expected by the market. I think most users will still prefer Android based phones, with the thousands of well written free applications available.

Nokia mobiles do have decent cameras however, with Zeiss lenses.

I used Nokia phones for a long time, but don't like Windows Mobile.

When will Microsoft understand  -  we don't want windows phones. It's bad enough having to put up with continuous, expensive windows upgrades on our PCs.

I still say Samsung is the best by far but now it is getting to big for a phone.

Samsung has eaten Nokia's lunch, and is still taking their market share.  All the people that had Nokia's will end up having an Android.. and a fair chance it's from Samsung.

It's also fair to say that Samsung has eaten Android's lunch as well - no other vendor sells more than a fraction of phones other than Samsung's variant of Android. The market is really divided into just 2 camps now - Apple and Samsung.

It's intersting that Samsung battles Apple for the top end of the market, it's also is battleing Nokia for the low end.    While Apple doesn't care about the low end, Nokia sure cared about the the full spectrum and now they have lost it to Samsung.    Meanwhile Apple has lost little if anything to Samsung, as they still have a tight grip on the top end.
