Young Toyota car driver ran over a motorbike causing the motorcycle drivers’ body to be stuck in the car engine.

PATTAYA – September 3, 2013 [PDN]; at about 6 AM Pol.Col Kreng kaiwut Nong Prue , Banglamung , Chonburi received a report about a motorcycle and car accident in South Pattaya, near Esso gas station. The rescue and the police were present at the scene for the investigation.

The crime scene found the vehicle Toyota Vigo pickup bronze plate number 2326 Bangkok Mr.Kongnapha Klinsokom,20 years old studying in his second year of diploma at the Technical College Eastern Seaboard. He crossed the red light and was driving to school but he accidentally crashed into a motorcycle, Honda Click license plate 560 Chonburi. The man driving the ca, a Thai citizen was making a U-turn near their Esso gas station, South Pattaya . The accident caused the motorcycle to land 100 m from the accident scene. The motorcycle and the car were severely damaged and therefore was parked on the left side of the road. The motorcycle driver’s body was crushed and stuck under the wheels of the Toyota car.

The rescuers tried to remove his body that was trapped under the wheels for the autopsy. After the investigation it is found that the driver of the motorcycle is a Thai citizen and drives a motorcycle taxi as a profession. He wears a red motorcycle taxi jacket, his body was severely injured his skulls and bones were broken. The wallet of the deceased was found and it was identified as Mr. Manat Cheamuangphan, 37 years old who resides at 65/2 Moo.7Nong Pla Lai , Banglamung, Chonburi. Pictures of the accident were taken as evidence, the body was later sent to the Banglamung hospital so that his relatives can notify.

The driver of the car, who did not receive any injury claims that he was driving like every other day to his college. He drove past the red light junction about 500 m which was when the accident happened. The area was a U-turn near Esso gas station in South Pattaya. As for the motorcycle driver he was driving out of the U-turn, not sure whether he was driving towards the gas station or was he going to drive the same way. However he drove straight from the U-turn towards the fast running lane. He claimed that he saw the motorcycle and therefore gave a signal horn but it seemed like the motorcycle driver was frightened and tried to drive away but unfortunately the two vehicles crashed even after trying to break hundred meters before the accident took place. However he quickly got out of the car to help the motorcycle driver. He then found that the motorcycle driver’s body was stuck in the engine of the car he was driving. The driver of the car confessed that this was an accident he did not intend for any of this to happen. He claims that he will take full responsibility of the accident. Police have now detained him for further questioning.
