2 Chinese Tourists Dead After Speedboat Crash

200 m from the Bali Hai pier, a double engine size speedboat named Choksuwanee 17, collided with an anchor rope of another boat causing the speedboat to turnover causing severe injuries and deaths among Chinese tourists.

PATTAYA – August 28, 2013 [PDN]; at 1.30 pm Pattaya police received a report about a speedboat accident about 200 m from the Bali Hier pier South Pattaya Moo 10 Tambon Nong Prue , Banglamung, Chonburi, Police Department, doctors from the Pattaya Memorial of hospital, tourists police and the Sawangboriboon rescue center made their way to their accident scene to rescue the tourists and investigate the case.

Ms.Geng Yanzhi, 33 years old, Ms. Xiao Manying 47 years old, Mr.Xiao Xiongping 62 years old, Mr.Qign Xiaolin 32 years old, Mr.Xiao Shungen 49 years old, Mr.Liang Kaiyao 49 years old, Mr.Gu Yu Zhang 33 years old and Mr.Kreangkai Bunsiri, 23 years old driver of the boat were severally injured. 2 tourists were found dead Mr.Dong Feiyue 30 years old and Mr.Zhang Tao 29 years old, both Chinese citizens, their body found to be severally bruised and wounded from the accident.

Mr.Guang Chai aged 42, a tour guide for Luan Thai travel came back before the incidents he had taken 29 tourists from the hotel travelled to Koh Larn. On the way back day they took a speedboat named Choksuwanee 17, just before reaching the shore the speedboat collided with an anchor roe of a 38 foot boat that is used to transfer passengers. This caused the speedboat to flip over and hit the water straightaway all the tourist fell off to different sides causing death,injuries and severe trauma.

Mr. Ronakit Ekasingh Deputy Mayor claimed that after he heard about the accident he quickly reported it to Mr. Ittipol Khunpleum , Pattaya City Mayor and Mr. Komsan Ekachai, Chonburi Deputy Mayor. They asked to investigate the cause of the accident and to explain the relatives of the tourist about the accident. Also advanced care is being provided to those injured tourists. It is suspected that the accident was caused by the driver being reluctant however further enquiries can be done once the driver of the boat has recovered. Seniors from the Ministry of transport and Ministry of sport and tourism of Thailand are making their way to Pattaya to discuss about further investigate about the accident.

Mr. Phong Shivanan, Deputy Minister of Transport along with Mr. Komsan Ekachai, Chonburi Deputy Mayor has paid a visit to those that have been injured that are admitted at the Pattaya Memorial Hospital. Involve participants will discuss about the accident and report it to the Prime Minister.
