Immigration Bureau Officers Arrest 55 Year-Old Visa And Passport Suspect

The Immigration Bureau were able to arrest a suspect who had illegally faked passports as well as fake visa slips.

BANGKOK – August 26, 2013 [PDN]; At the HQ of the Immigration Bureau various high-profile police officers announced the arrest of 55 year-old Paiboon Sriwatchararot, who was arrested for faking Spanish and French passports as well as Canadian, Indian and Indonesian visa slips. He was arrested at a food stall in Bangkok.

Mr. Paiboon was arrested as soon as he was suspected to have faked several passports and visas. During the arrest, police were able to seize the fake passports and visas that he reportedly made himself.

The fake passports were sold for 2,000 THB each while the visas were sold for 1,000 THB per slip. He was under the Immigration Bureau’s radar since 2006.

Initially, he was charged for making and selling fake traveling documents. He will be further questioned by the Immigration Bureau.
