Denies Receiving Extra Cash

A store cashier denies receiving extra 5,000 baht in cash from the bank after making her exchange.

PATTAYA– August 27, 2013 [PDN]; Ms. Orathai Klaithim, 26 years old residing at 168 Moo.9 Phaikwang district Phayao province currently working in Thai farmers bank in South Pattaya reported a complaint to police Phithak Neansang from the Pattaya police station. She claims that while exchanging money for customers at the bank she accidentally gave someone 5000 baht extra. After looking at the footage on the CCTV it is found that the money was given to a female store cashier from WATSONS store in South Pattaya building. After she reported it to the store cashier, the store cashier denied getting any extra money from the exchange at the bank. Ms.Orathai decided to file a complaint at the police station as evidence.

Ms. Orathai Klaithim, the bank cashier explained that Ms.Niramol Kleangmonthip store cashier from Watson in Tukcom Department in South Pattaya visited the bank to exchange 11 notes of 1000 bath into 100 notes of 100 baht. The bank cashier gave an extra 100 notes of 50 baht cash which has a total of 5,000 baht.

After looking at the CCTV as evidence it clearly shows that the money was given to Ms. Niramol. However, Ms. Niramol denied receiving any extra money she claims that she received the exact amount and asked Ms.Orathai Klaithim, to report it to the police. She then reported this to the police as evidence.

After the police station received the complaint and evidence against Ms.Niramol, she will be questioned further so that justice is provided to both parties.
