Train Crashes Into Pick – Up Truck, Driver Miraculously Survive

A mother and son who were on a pick-up truck were shockingly crashed by a train at a Pattaya bypass Rd. intersection. Miraculously, the two survived the crash.

pdn3PATTAYA – August 25, 2013 [PDN]; Banglamung Police officers were informed that a train had collided with a pick-up as it was passing the rails at an intersection at the Pattaya Bypass Rd. An investigation team as well as an emergency response team were immediately rushed out to the scene.

At the scene, a Mitsubishi pick-up was seen smashed in an extremely bad condition after a train that was en route to Bangkok had crashed into the side of the truck.

To the rescuers and police officer’s surprise, the driver and passenger survived the crash, the two were reported to have sustained minor injuries both have been sent to Banglamung Hospital.

A witness said that as the car was passing the railways to get to the other side of the road, a train traveling at a rather high-speed crashed into the truck, which caused the accident and the injuries to the mother and son.

The Train Authority of Thailand as well as Police officers are now investigating the accident.

This happened to an ex-friend of mine. The crossing arm failed to lower and as he was crossing the tracks he was hit by a train totaling the car he was driving which was his wife's car. A regular passenger car, nothing special, not a classic or anything, maybe worth 5000 dollars. He called his wife to let her know that he had been hit by a train but that he was OK and she said, "So you wrecked my fucking car!"

That was the end of that marriage.
