BANGKOK– August 25, 2013 [PDN]; at 2.30 p.m., Pol.Suriya Saengonta special Police from Roi Et province received a report from Mrs. Nitiya Nuwan, 40 years old residing in Khumsonsuk, Roi Et province reported that these past 5 days she had been using Facebook at her house and has gotten to know Mr. Richard Woodhas who claims to be an British citizen. He told Nitiya that he was a lucky guy so he wishes to send her jewelry worth 1,800,000 baht along with 80,000 euros in cash.

On August 24, few days back she received a call from a lady claiming to be Mrs. Kanchana , she stated that Mr.Richard reported that the jewelry have reached the Suwarnbhumi Airport, Kanchana claims that she has checked the parcel department but to get the parcel a fee of 19,940 baht must be deposited to Mr. Ekalak Somsiri to an account in Bangkok. Nitiya however, did not make any further payments and reported about Mrs. Kanchana and Mr. Richard right away so that further investigation could be held.

People that I don't know and have just chatted with on facebook send me "jewelry worth 1,800,000 baht along with 80,000 euros in cash" all the time.    That doesn't happen on a regular basis to everyone?

This lady deserves to get scammed for being a greedy dunce.

This a standard scam going around for the past few years. Internet dating/scamming. Many have been fooled, all

seems clear in the absence of romance. Does that sound familiar to old buffalo's? The heart makes us blind to the obvious.
