16 Minors Involved in Prostitution!

Police have accused suspects of involving 16 Minors in prostitution business on 22nd of July.

BANGKOK – August 23, 2013 [PDN]; the Crime Suppression Division of Human Trafficking led Maj. Gen. Chavalit Panphued , Pol.Col Kitrat Panpheud and vice Pol. col. Chitphob Tomuan announced the arrest of Ms. Pranee , 45 years old living in No. 82 Moo 5 Tambon Muang Sukhothai, Sukhothai and Mr. Tawichai 21 years, residing at No. 7/4 Moo 4, Tambon Na Ayutthaya district, Ayutthaya.

They had received arrest warrants by the 1404 and 1405/2556 criminal Court on August 16, 2013 for human trafficking conspiracy by exploitation of prostitution of girls between 15 to 18 years old. The group of girls were found in front of Taipei hotel,Mittraphan road in Pom Prap Sattru Phai district Bangkok.

Maj. Gen. Chavalit Panphued claims that the suspects act as middlemen in contacting clients with Ms.Bow who lives in a motel in Pomparb area. The service costs each time is between 500- 600 baht which goes into the pockets of the suspects. In the last few days minor Ms. Bow was forced to provide prostitution service, six times a day. She therefore could not take it any longer and decided to report it to the child rescue center. Evidence has been collected so that warrants could be issued to arrest the suspects.

After investigating the two suspects they denied the accusation of forcing the victim to perform any new act they also claimed that the minor victim had already been working with Mrs. Kobkul the head in taking care of the girls involved in prostitution. After Mrs.Kobkul was found guilty of being involved in prostitution so should quickly ran away however these girls then came to stay with the suspects, that also runs a prostitution business in the same area. Moreover, further investigations are ongoing in searching for the involved parties in the prostitution cases.
