Tour Bus Owners Arrested After Plundering From Tourists’ Luggage

Tourist police arrested a couple who had owned tour bus for stealing possessions from tourists.

BANGKOK – August 20, 2013 [PDN]; Tourist Police announced the arrest of a couple who had been stealing things from tourists. The two were named Mr. Sarawut Saipanya, aged 41 and Mrs. Chanika Saipanya, aged 35. The couple was arrested for theft after they were caught stealing things from tourists including credit cards and other valuable things.

It was announced that they had committed the same over and over again and that they had stole over 700,000 THB worth in possessions.

Mr. Sarawut admitted that he would usually hide in the storage room of the tour bus in order to go through the bags and suitcases of tourists. He said that he had stolen all kinds of things, but most notably, he stole credit cards and money from the tourists.

You could always zip-tie your luggage and you'll know if anybody messed with it hopefully. Or have some locks.
