Covered in a plastic bag a dead infant was found near the beach beds in Bangsaen

CHONBURI – August 18,2013 [PDN]; – at about 9pm Sansuk police station, Muang Chonburi received a report that an infant has been found on the beach covered in a blanket. She was about seven months and was found in a whole about 50 cms under the sand and along with two instant sticks dug on the grave. It has been estimated that infant has passed away about 24 hours already.

The Beach bed owner reported that she saw two instant stick stuck in the sand so she used her feet to push down the stick thinking that competitors are causing some evil spirit doings. Shortly after she did that she noticed a plastic bag but did not react to it at the same time a garbage collector threw that plastic bag into the sea, after which the plastic bag was back washed by the waves back to the shore. This made her curious so she looked into the bag and found a dead infant.

After this incident happened the vendors in the nearby area have been discussing the mystery behind the death. The vendor selling squid that usually has very good sales everyday have been directly affected by the death. She reported to have no customers since the news of the dead infant. Even the vendors nearby are also being affected. Therefore, these vendors have had to find other jobs to support themselves. These local vendors have also mourned for the poor dead infant.

The police suspect that it could have been a teenage mother who was having trouble and probably did not know how to tackle it therefore, decided to bury her child near the sea. It is believed that bodies that are buried near water will be washed away by evil spirits and that the two instant sticks will bring peace and mourn for the dead body. However, further investigations are in works to find the parents of the dead infant
