Po Tek Tung Rescue official dies due to infection in his blood after helping a local villager out from water.

PATHUMTHANI – August 18,2013 [PDN]; Mr.Bunchurt Premsit presided over the funeral ceremony of Mr. Sonthaya Chaengdi, 32-year-old rescue officer yothin code 830 who passed way due to a virus in his blood causing brain damage. Mr. Bunchurt states that Mr. Sonthaya has been rescuing people for since the flood in 2011. He helped people move their stuffs during the flood in 2011 and probably swallowed a lot of contaminated water which could have been e starting cause of his illness. Ever since the flood he has been sick on and off and has been receiving treatment regularly. Unfortunately, he passed away on 13 August at the Huachiaw Hospital.

August 18, 2013 was the date set for the funeral ceremony Mr.Sontaya in which Mr. Sutin from District 1 Pathumthani and MP General Mr. Supachai district 4 performed the cremation waiting ceremony and other rescue officials from the Po Tek Tung foundation paid their visit and recited a song by Sek Loso called “You and I” to mourn for their friend one last time.

Apart from that a full body size photo was kept along his body during the ceremony. They appreciate his passion for work and his endless support in helping save lives.
