Tourism polices arrested 16 merchants who threatens tourists to buy their sacred goods, such as bird foods, oblation, and tried to convince them to exorcist and then threatened them at the front area of the city pillar shrine.

BANGKOK – August 15, 2013 [PDN]; Pol.Maj.Gen.Roy Inkpairoj, commander of tourism police, Pol.Col.Achayan Kraithong, commander, Pol.Maj.Col. Borwornpop Sunthornrekha, detective inspector of tourism police 2, had press conference about arresting 16 merchants who threatens people to buy their sacred goods, at the front area of the city pillar shrine, royal Palace, Phranakorn.

Pol.Maj.Gen.Roy revealed that it was from they were reported from Thai and foreign tourists who got threatened to exorcist, and ripped them off, and sometime they forced the tourists to buy them goods, and often did not return the change.

Primarily, the police told them the allegation, causing trouble in public and then sent them to fine.
