Uni Student Struck By Stray Bullet During Intense Chase In Chonburi

Two drug dealers who were active in Chon Buri province chased each other down, bullets were ferociously shot at each, causing an unfortunate death to a university student.

CHONBURI – July 30,2013 [PDN]; Samet Police officers were informed that a gunfight happened between two cars in the Samet sub-district. At the scene, police found a heavily damaged Honda Civic car, it was reported that 18 bullets were shot from a 9mm handgun. Its windshield cracked and that the tires on the back and right blew up as well. Rescue officers said that they found a 23 year-old student who was shot on her occiput dead nearby, it was presumed that she was struck by a stray bullet.

Witnessed said that Toyota pick-up trucked chased the car and shot the bullets at the car. The man who was the driver of the Honda Civic car stopped and left the car to escape, as police were on the way.

Police presume that the chase was between two drug dealers in the Chon Buri who didn’t like each other. When the two coincidentally met each other on the road, the chase then broke out. Which led to the death of the 23 year-old university student.

Police are now further investigating and have taken the boyfriend of the victim to Samet Police station.
