Foreigners Arrested After Using Fake ATM Cards

Pattaya Police were able to arrest a group of foreigners who were withdrawing money from fake ATM cards in Pattaya. They’d reportedly withdrawn over 20 million THB in cash money.

Pattaya – July 27, 2013 [PDN]; Various Pattaya Police Chiefs and Commanders together with officers of the Transnational Crime Coordination Centre (TCCN) held a press conference regarding the arrest of 10 suspects which included both Thais and foreigners. They were arrested for withdrawing cash money using fake ATM cards. 7 of the suspects originated from Eastern Europe and the Middle East, while the other 3 were from Thailand.

The arrest happened after the Siam Commercial Bank had complained with Pattaya Police that a group of foreigners were withdrawing money using fake ATM cards in Pattaya. Investigation officers then requested CCTV footage to identify and issue an arrest warrant for the suspects.
