A 74 year-old American who reportedly was a former CIA agent was stabbed by two teenagers at Pattaya Klang Soi 11.

PATTAYA – July 22,2013 [PDN]; Pattaya Police officers were informed that a foreign tourist was stabbed in his apartment. Police officers immediately rushed out to the scene to investigate.

At the scene, police found an elder foreign man lying down on the pavement in a bath of blood. He was immediately taken to the Bangkok-Pattaya Hospital in order to receive immediate treatment from specialists.

The man later identified as 74 year-old Mr. Nicho Laji Dikiy from the United States. He was reportedly stabbed on the left-side of his stomach.

A witness that was the first person to see Mr. Nicho Laji Dikiy injured, told the police that as he was walking through the Soi, Mr. Nicho Laji Dikiy approached him and pleaded for help, saying that he injured. He first thought that Mr. Nicho was having a joke with him, but when he saw the blood, he immediately called up the ambulance in order to rush him to the nearest hospital.

Police presume that the former CIA agent was stabbed by a group of teenagers that stole his possessions and escaped using a motorbike. Police will now further investigate and will now try to identify and arrest the suspects.

Does anyone know how Mr. Nicho Laji Dikiy is recovering?

Terrible story, I hope the man recovers ok. The story is confusing, says he was stabbed in his apartment, then mentions a group of teens who robbed the man and rode off on a mc, which sounds like a soi robbery. If he was stabbed inside his apartment then it wasn't a random robbery, he was targeted.

Women are made to be loved, not understood.

Sorry to hear that he got stabbed.

I am suprised that there actually is a retired CIA agent over there.

You hear all these stories but I don't usually believe them that they are what they say they are.

Seems like this time it's actually true!

This incident should not come as any great surprise.

There are supposedly so many ex CIA agents in Pattaya that statistically, this was always going to happen.

There was a follow up to this story a couple of days later.  Seems the guy and his Thai wife were having issues.  He was telling her to leave.  She organised for him to get a hiding so he would be injured. She would step in and look after him and be needed again.

Apparently she told police the attackers she organised were just supposed to hurt the guy a bit, but because he tried to fight back he ended up getting stabbed.

As is soooo often the case (Thailand or anywhere else in the world), the most common reason for violence in or near where someone lives is a domestic dispute of some kind.

That's a stupid reason to have someone stabbed, like WTF!

Hope he's doing fine now.
