some info/help please

For the past few days every time I switch my computer on, and it boots up, the following pop up message appears not long after

 

"system32:msnregistry.exe" "has encountered a problem and needs to close"

 

I then close the box and everything appears to be fine!

 

So what has caused this pop up message in the first place?
