Camera Restrictions? Limit on type or Quantity?

Hi All,

I read on PA somewhere about camera restrictions.  Can't seem to find it again even with searches, but basically it stated an old type rule something like "You can only bring in one film camera and three rolls of film" and or "One movie camera, and one roll of film"

Are there any current travel import restrictions on type or quantity of cameras or memory cards?

I want to bring in two digital cameras, and three GoPros.  I like to take photos, and use the GoPros for some above water activities but mainly during scuba diving.  I don't want to bring them and have an issue where I have to give them up.  That would not make me happy.....  :Cry3:

Thanks, Richard

Never heard that one before ... I normally bring a couple of cameras , no problems

If it floats, flies or fucks It's probably cheaper to rent ...

Never heard of any restrictions, seen people on here that bring tripods, lights with them. I always bring my DSLR with multiple memory cards in my hand luggage. On 12 trips to Thailand not once has my hand luggage been scanned by anyone on my way in.

You can buy memory cards and film once you are here anyway. Not a problem.

travelled to LOS around 15 times now with at least two Nikon Pro bodies and four lenses without any issues.

I remember something similar to those restrictions twenty years ago. It wasn't enforced then, but was displayed on customs declaration documents.

Of course, there's no enforcement these days, even if the regulation hasn't been repealed.
