Chatrooms Bar

There is a bar covering up the bottom of every window on here called "Chatrooms" followed by 3 icons.

 

Does anyone know how I can get rid of it?

Then I guess my problem is I have no button on the right. The bar extends blank to the right side of the window, even if I make the window so wide there is no scroll bar.

 

I normally use Safari.

I went in with Firefox and was able to find the button and get rid of the bar, but it doesn't stay away. It is still there when I go back with Safari.

I'm running Safari and don't have this trouble, but I do have it getting stuck on scroll on the iPad. Not sure why we're using this bit of 2008 HTML anyway - I never see anyone in there. 

 

It's be far more useable stuck in the sidebar on these pages, and then we can leave scroll events alone.
