Does anyone use Amazon Prime Streaming service or download book to kindle while in Pattaya?  I've heard several people comment that it doesnt work there.

Just downloaded a book, one about how to chat up girls, don't need that over here, worked just fine in the kindle android app on my nexus 7 from the hotel WiFi in Patts.

Exactly! The video or music streaming is allowed only from the US IP addresses. But you can borrow and download books no problem.

I have UK IP address and no problem with Nexus 7 in Thailand.
