The house we are building in Surin. Tricky build as the house takes up almost all of the land .It's a type of wrap around courtyard house .starting price around 4.8 mil but there will be lots of extras plunge pool steam room central air kitchens .The window glass in laminated 6mm green glass very costly unbreakable and cool.

Was the 4.8 mil just for construction or for land, as well?

I'm also curious to see the final result

No for the build , I think the land cost 1.2 mill 1\4 ria in Surin City .

We dont sell land just build houses on the clients land .Here are a few more pics .

OK, have to ask.. can you expand about the laminated 6mm green glass.   Really is it unbreakable, so bars are not need to secure windows?   How about thermal transfer?   In what kind of frame?   Just windows or also patio style doors?

And looking at photos, is this house being build with ecoblok?   If so, why?  Cost delta?  etc.

Rereading, I see you say "central air" ..  never saw that in a Thai home, or at least what I think you mean.   Do you mean with one large air handler and duct work in the ceilings?

Thanks for sharing... someday may look to build also so always interested in learning.

6 mm laminated glass ,its not unbreakable but very strong it will crack if you hit it with a hammer ,but still after cracked not easy to get through as it had a plastics film in the center .3mm glass plasic film then 3mm glass, this glass runs in at about 2000B per 1 sqm , not 150 as with normall glass.

Central air as this is a big living area yes ceiling mounted air con .

Yes Q-Con blocks , we also had the door frame made wider so we can apply two coats of render plaster not one coat .

Ok I will add more pic soon Plunge pool and sauna pics coming ,

1.2M for the land and 4.8M for the house ( unfurnished i assume ) i would say this is very expensive for Surin.

Looks nice but a small plot.

Sounds fantastic.

Plus, you are providing employment for the local lads.

6M all told, approximately €140,000.

Maybe I should reconsider my retirement plans - that's a lot of house for not a lot of money.

Nice build by the way.

This is a very high spec build ,we could of built this a lot cheaper but not to this standard ,the client picked the best of the best materials .

We dont buy or sell land ,but a Ria of land in Surin City at the moment 4 mill and up !

I-E you can use a toilet for 2000B he choose to go 16000B - up to the client , floor tiles 1000B a sqm , laminated glass 1900 a sqm not 150B. We all have budgets and we do our best to meet them if poss .

thanks for you input guys  .
