Pattaya Airsoft Team - CAT Sports Club practice

On May the 5th 2013 we had another practice session at the CAT Sports Club on 3rd road, Pattaya.

 

This time we had time to reflect on the previous weeks effort and we practiced some more of our strategies.

However, this time we played with a Thai team that comprised some snipers in the group.

 

We had not counted on snipers participating as the playing field is not really suited to a sniper equipped team.

 

The match was very different to before and we had to stay under cover a lot more than we did last week.

 

It was a great lesson of underestimating another team and we where picked off by very well concealed snipers.

 

It was a fantastic game and all due credit to the Thai team.

 

The game itself was very hot and we had to pick our clothing to suit. As we knew what to expect (pain wise), we where happy to not overdress and overheat. We did have a lot of fogging up issues with our eye protection, so we will adapt for next weeks play.

 

Personally, I have started weighing myself on a weekly basis to see how I fair up, as the last few years in Thailand have been spent in AC luxury and on the PC, which has made me unfit. Airsoft is bringing joy to my weekends as well as improving my fitness as well as giving me a cardio workout, which I have been lacking (A LOT)....

 

We have a great team and we hope that we get new members into our team or even another Pattaya team starting up so we can compete against them....

 

Overall... Another great weekend and as always, cant wait for Sunday to rock around again !

We are still about 5 people short.

We need at least one more sniper...

 

If age or weight is an issue, dont worry as I am on the chubby side, but finding the kilos dropping off slightly. I used to walk a few km's every day in Australia, as well as mountain bike and golf.

 

Since moving to Thailand, all that has stopped, so for me, Airsoft is only as physical as I am fit. Meaning the fitter I get, the different roles I will play.

 

The expenses are around 6000 THB for a weapon, a few hundred THB for glasses and then the rest is optional. Ongoing expenses after that is 300 THB for 3000 rounds of ammo and 100 THB per person to use the facility... Until we start playing in abandoned villages and in the bush....

 

There is a team down south with 12ish members who want to go it against the Pattaya team... so we really need some more players/training and then we can kick some butt or get ours kicked

Where are you guys training?

maybey i can join, got a sniper and m4 and some other guns to shoot with.

But no experience in a team...i mean ...i have 7 years experience in halo...lol

We do some of our training at the CAT Sports Club as we are learning too.

For some of us, its the first time we have shot a weapon albeit an Airsoft and some dont even have training in HALO...

 

Half our team is away at the moment, but we are resuming Sunday week. The airsoft site has information on the teams and a discussion platform for updates.
