I get most of my TV programs from this site and keep uptodate.

 

There is probably more to the story but the web site directs me to this message.

I guess I’ll need to find another site but it won’t be as comprehensive as this one......

 

I'm disappointed about this one closing as well. Mainly because you could save your favorite shows. I had about 15 favorites added and it was a breeze knowing when a new epp had come out.

 

I haven't found another site that has a similar feature. I guess I could setup something using RSS feeds but I'm lazy.

 

I tend to use the Pirate Bay for the bulk of my torrenting now and Torrentday when I need something mainstream in a hurry.

To not get your service suspended or sued be sure to find and use a cheap seedbox, if you do it the pro way tv shows or movies never even have to be loaded on your pc to watch them.

I use a seedbox linked to xbox media center which streams them directly off the ftp.

All this reduces your home bandwidth usage and allows a layer of security and anonymity .

Use Utorrent's encryption function, disable random ports, and use  port 45500 - 48000.

Connect to your torrent site using SCARCUP

Get the Ghostery addon, and enable tracker blocking.

Anyone found a site with the same feature as Daily tv torrents yet?

 

I still miss the favourites section which would remember all the shows you liked and easy to see when a new epp was out.

I don't think finding a site with favorites is very hard at all, the problem is the more convenient they make a torrent site the more it grows in popularity , this is when the wolves come. 

 

I found one using google in like 20 seconds http://filesharingtalk.com/threads/389682-TV-Torrents-Review . This one is invite only , that seems to be the popular method of protection these days .

the letters sent out by isps are not tracked by the isp. ie they could send you 20 and still nothing will happen. even if you get a letter saying you will be sued worst thing you could do is reply to it.

 

best way to avoid being tracked is using peerblock software which blocks those asshole companies who track torrent data, it will also block spyware and government sites that also track data. next best solution next to using a true private vpn.

under the DMCA, to avoid liability the ISP must:

• not obtain financial benefit from the infringement
• not have actual knowledge or awareness of facts indicating infringing transmissions
• upon learning of an infringing transmission, act quickly to remove or disable access to the infringing transmission, and
• implement a policy of terminating the accounts of subscribers who are repeat infringers.

 

To get a lawsuit the only thing the mpaa or riaa have to do is join a tracker sharing copyright information and download from it .This way they can record all the ip's that connect to them and actually prove it's the real copyrighted material coming from them . They also have an automated take-down system where they can request the isp disable you internet access until the torrent is stopped , this has happen to me on cox cable . The only safe method is to be anonymous or smart. peer guardian is not enough , a seed box hosted in a place like the uk that does not have a dmca is 9 million times better . Using the seedbox method you are not downloading off a tracker ever, You get your downloads in a completed form off a server not even hosted in the united states via secure ftp connection .

about using peerguardian is a very bad idea as it hasn't been updated for about 3 years now. hence peerblock suggestion.

 

The Riaa and MPAA are american and them thinking they can apply their law outside of USA is quite hilarious but tracking any torrent swarm and gathering data is far from evidence of anything. IP addresses can be spoofed and copied, wifi connections hacked, etc etc these letters need to be against people in most cases they issue letters to addresses and ip addresses which is not even accusing anyone of anything.

 

if you get a letter, ignor it or better return it to sender. these are civil cases and with a very very small understanding of civil law they are easily defeated, but like i say why bother when you can return it to sender.
