I may need to do some intensive use of a computer, and a laptop isnt going to have sufficient panache .

 

is it possible to rent a desktop PC (box + monitor + keyboard + mouse) on a weekly/monthly basis?

 

I'll appreciate info on specific shops which do that (and costs).

Never knew there was some where in Pattaya renting computers will make a note of that.

Probably won't be the most cost efficient option for you.

 

A no frills PC that has your required spec better shout than renting. You wont have time pressure to get your work completed in a hurry and it will have reasonable resale value
