im sure if places bars etc are open then i should think you will be able to get alchohol undercover style i cant see me eating xmas dinner without any alchohol to go with it even if i have to bring my own

As well as the general election there are also local elections which are happening as well. Some of these take place a day or two after the general election on 23rd.

 

So the probability is that there will no drink on Xmas day either because the day after the local elections is also dry as well. The shops won't be selling any alcohol on that day either.

 

It is not all bad news - looks like Boxing dayis will be at least one day when I can guarantee that I won't be waking up next to an ugly Thai girl. :wub:

According to signs posted in Pattaya:

No alcohol sold between 18:00 on the 22nd and midnight on the 23rd.

Not that affects me: all my local places are open as normal!

No alcohol was served yesterday also, i think it was a downside for the bars/go-gos. Atleast that was the situation at NEP.
