there is also alot of restrictions and extra charges but still looks like a decent price......

Thanks for the tip, I just returned from one of those deals on Cathay and for some reason they didn't send

me an email about this one.

 

I always use EVA (except for my Nov. trip on CP) and in fact i'm 2 flights away from a free ticket except this same fare will be

around $3-400 less than EVA so I have to go with the price.So with the savings on these 2 tickets I could Buy my own "free" ticket

assuming it's one of these special fares.

 

I have a question for the list. If I buy this ticket now I will need my company to approve the time off and

they will not just give me an answer so I may miss this deal while waiting on them.However If I buy this ticket

and then buy trip insurance that includes trip cancellation or rescheduling would this protect my investment

while waiting for an answer from my employer?

 

It sounds like insurance would cover me but just wanted to check others who may have bought a ticket on short notice to lock in

a great fare and not had the time off approved.
