Internet Porn Makers Busted In East Pattaya Estate

Three Europeans and three Thais were arrested at a luxury Pattaya estate where sexual acts were filmed for a live porn website. Police seized sex toys and props, along with video equipment and 3 grams of ya-ice. The suspects said they did not know that filming pornography is illegal in Thailand.

PATTAYA – March 16, 2013 [PDN]: At 5 a.m., a police raid on several luxury homes being used to produce pornography was led by Pol. Col. Somneuk Jankate, Superintendent, Nong Preu police station; together with Pol. Lt. Col. Kongsak Boonseusuwan, Deputy Superintendent; Pol. Maj. Siribancha Khobjai, Inspector; Pol. Capt. Kornphong Sukvisit, Deputy Inspector; and the forces of the police team using a search warrant of Pattaya provincial court, number 175/2556 dated March 15, 2013.

The raid took place at a housing estate at address 21/3 Baan Huayruam, Soi Pornpraphanimit 27 Moo 3 Tambon Nong Preu, Amphur Banglamung. The raid resulted from a police undercover investigation that revealed several foreigners were using the houses as a place to make obscene video clips.

Arriving at the scene, officers found five Thai-style houses with luxury decorations and a personal swimming pool, encompassing an area of about 5 rais. The estate was blockaded with a fence for privacy.

The officers called the man in the house to open the door. He was identified as Mr. Sakdadech Khamtheuan, age 34, who was the person who takes care of the house. The police showed him the search warrant, and proceeded to search room number 5 of the first house, where they found and arrested the suspects.

 

The suspects were identified as Mr. Ethan Marcel Christopher Janzwarts, age 46, nationality Netherlander; and Mr. Zagar Luka, age 32, nationality Slovenian. The two European men were conducting an obscene video clip production inside the house.

Police also arrested a female suspect, who was being filmed lying on a bed in sexy lingerie and acting seductively. She was identified as Ms. Melanie Pirich, age 27, nationality Austrian.

Police discovered that there was an opened notebook computer with a video camera to make the live pornographic video clip clips. The pornographic acts were being broadcasted via the internet for many unseen viewers who were watching.

The environment in the room was decorated in Thai style, with the Buddha image put in many places, which is very sorrowful for the Buddhists that saw them. Therefore the police commanded them to stop all activities.

While searching bedroom number 5, police also found 3 bags of ya-ice, weight approximately 3 grams, along with the equipment to consume the ice.

The police seized the equipment to make the video clips, consisting of 3 video cameras, 4 notebook computers with a lot of nude video clips inside, and sex toys such as fake male sexual organs, whips, etc. totaling 17 items.

In the other houses, police discovered and arrested three Thai people, a male and two female workers who acted together make the nude video clips broadcasted on the internet. So the police restrained them to be the witnesses.

 

Later, Pol. Maj. Gen. Katcha Thartsart, Commander, Chonburi province came to disclose the facts of the case. He revealed that, previously the police of Nong Preu police station were notified from an undercover agent that there were foreigners renting a luxury house in the area to make obscene video clips to broadcast via the internet.

So the police made the plan to send a Thai woman spy to apply to be the model, and investigate their operation for several months, until she got the exact evidence to prosecute them. Then the police asked for the search warrant from Pattaya provincial court, and arrested the defendants with the evidence.

During questioning, the Dutch suspect, Mr. Ethan, confessed that he and his friends had rented the five Thai-style houses in the luxury estate for the price of 100,000 THB per month for 2 years.

The homes were intended to be used for the making of obscene video clips showing various sex acts, including between a man and woman, and between a woman with another woman. The pornographic videos were broadcast live via a website in a foreign country for the members to see by paying money via a member card.

Their duties were divided clearly, with Mr. Ethan being the producer and also a performer acting with Ms. Melanie. Meanwhile, Mr. Zagar was the technician and made the films in the computer.

Their revenue in each month was not stable, because it depended on the number of people who watched the video clips. The suspects were paid by the owner of the website based in the U.S.A., who would transfer money to them. As for the ya-ice, a Thai friend gave the drugs to the suspects for their consumption only.

The foreigners said they didn’t think the making of obscene video clips would be illegal under Thai law. After their initial investigation, the police inspected and found that this porn website was blocked by the Thai government, so the internet users in Thailand could not enter the website.

However, the police will investigate further to arrest the owner of the website that broadcasted the nude video clips. The police then sent the 3 foreigners to the investigation officer to prosecute further according to the law.
