New Content option no longer working

For the last week or so everytime I use the new content option I get a message something like "Sorry no new content available"

 

I read somewhere on here that someone said to clear your search history and cookies. I have done this but still no luck. Is anyone able to help me?

Have you checked your search options?

 

Make sure it is on 'the past 24 hours' or 'the past week' an also not just on 'content I follow' or basically any other random setting! It seems the forum has reset some BMs settings?

Hi mate,

 

If you click on 'new content' there should be a list of search options come up along the left side of them(I know you are having this problem, but you should still get the options up). Just make sure that they are set for an open search and not for the above things I mentioned.

I am still getting the "no new content" even after trying other settings.

I would prefer if "contents I have not read" but new since last visit would be OK also - but none of them seem to work.

Even though I can see the new content now I have to unclick the "Just items I follow" everytime to see it. There doesn't seem anywhere to save this setting to have it permanently unchecked.

Hmm sounds like a strange issue.

I've never had this problem sorry...use the view new content button as my main way of navigating threads.

Have you tried bookmarking the site after you have unchecked it to see if that will save your settings???

It is not saved in the bookmark - my setting "hangs" even when I find the address in a search engine again

I don't know if there are privacy concerns as to why you cannot bookmark it? but just try it to see if it works and then delete the bookmark, just to see if it does work for you?

 

I'll have a think and see if I can figure out how you can save your settings without saving the page?
