Don't know if this is the right place for this but here it goes.

The man himself has passed.

I doubt there are very few who grew up from 1969 - 1979 who haven't heard of this legend. I mean really, to strap an "old style" heavy motorcycle betrween your legs and sail up a ramp at 75 + MPH, clicks or however you judge it , you had to have some BIG BALLS. For someone to do it again and again was either crazy or "Ledgenary Material". I don't know if he had ever visted Pattaya, but if he did I'm sure the crowd would have gone wild! Long live the Knievel legenacy and may God bless!

Almost forgot, he died at the age of 69. Always the showman I'm sure the 60 plus bones broken and other health related isssues couldn't stop the "young stud" from picking his faviorite number.

I remember having him as a toy when I was young, used to wind up his bike and it would do a wheelie, dam that would be a collectors item now if I still had it

He was, without a doubt, among a handful of bonafide 70's terrain-markers.

Unlike his son, Robbie, Evel never bothered with fancy geometry, math or bike power/weight analyses... just get on, fire it up, and jump the sucker.

Balls.

:Good_Post:

I remember him when I was growing up.

Its a shame he's passed away, but he's had a good innings.
