Gay German May Have Overdosed On Viagra-Like Pills

A 56-year-old German was found dead in his luxury Jomtien condominium. There were no signs of a struggle, as officers found sexual potency pills and a male sex toy. The building’s security guard said the German enjoyed sex with many men, and apparently died four days ago. Police suspect the victim died from overdosing on pills.

PATTAYA – March 6, 2013 [PDN]; at 3:30 p.m., a report of a foreigner found dead in his room in the View Talay 1 condominium in Jomtien was received by Pol. Lt. Col. Chuangmonkolthanayuth, detective officer of sub-detective team Dongtarl, Muang Pattaya police station. He rushed to the scene with the rescuers from Sawangboriboon foundation Pattaya.

The body of the foreign man was found in a 14th floor room in the condominium number 339/732, Condo View Talay 1, Jomtien. The body was found by the condo security guard, identified as Mr. Thada Thammapradit , 55 years old. After discovering the German’s body, Mr. Thada notified Pol. Col. Suwarn Chiawnawinthawatch, director of Muang Pattaya police station.

At the scene, police found the victim, identified as Mr. Theo Schitz, 56 years old. He was lying naked on his bed, with his feet hanging from the side of the bed. Police did not find any traces of the victim being beaten.

The German’s room also did not appear to have been searched or robbed. Police estimated the victim had been dead more than 4 days. In the drawer of the desk, officers found a box of sexual impotency pills, with one of the packs opened. Moreover, police found a male genital sex toy.

The police initially presumed the German had died from an overdose of pills that triggered a heart attack. However, the German’s body was sent to the Forensic Institute to find the real cause of death.

During questioning, Mr. Thada the security guard said the victim owned a restaurant in Germany, and he first came to Thailand a year ago. He liked men, and there had been many men who came in and out of the victim’s room, the guard said. He last saw the German alive 4 days ago.
