very comfortable relaxed atmosphere & has seating for 300 people

Dreadfull, dreadfull place as is clearly shown by the fact that their advertisments concentrate on the decor of the place, not the food.

No real good places for Indan food in the Pat but the place opposite the Camelot hotel does a good, reasonalbly proced buffet which attracts the Indian tourists which is at leat a reccomendation.

Excuse the typos. My fingers have become as fat as a mamma-san's morals due to too much typing.

Been there myself SB and sat in the chair opposite yours. Great nosh and great service. Seem to remember doing a trip report for it but fuck knows if I can remember where. Best balti outside of Brum. The only pomplem I had waqs working the menu out. The manager (guy in the suit) was very helpful. Went there maybe 2 or 3 times. Not sure if a Thai gurl would like it though.

I have read mixed revue's on Ali Baba, so not really been in a hurry to go there.

A tew positive comments here- Tab reckons they do the best Balti out of Birmingham, got to give it a try.

No meantion of prices though- how are they?

The prices weren't too bad from what I can remember, If they had been too much I

would of noticed

Ordered take away meal from Ali Babas,opened it up in room and had been tucked up big time,meat was all bone and gristle,samosa's cold and greasy ended up throwing the lot.Only had one decent indian in Pattaya and that was in The Raj on 3rd road which is unfortunately gone and replaced by a french restaurant.

A few years ago on my 1st day, 1st meal was eaten at an Indian restaurant.

I got dysentary and was at the hospital next day for a shot to stop puking.

 

The place I ate is on beach road next to the Natural Beach hotel.

 

Being that sick ..... a very unpleaseant experience.

Yeah I know the place you mean, I heard years ago that they used to buy the scabby dogs from the beach road and chop them up for thier curries! Never eaten in there & never will, I was sexy beasts companion on the night of this review and was the person who recommended the place to sexy beast, I love it in Ali - Baba's and most of the Thai girls I have taken there loved it too.

i have been to ali baba restaurant in patts many time and the food was good and all the cooks are from india, the manager is from south india and the only thing is you should let them how spicy you want your meal because indian meals can be very spicy and if you are not used to it you could have problems.

Have also been to Ali Baba this trip and had a wonderful meal for 3 which cost 1500 baht.

I have seen many bad reviews about Ali Baba and guess what none of them are from indians or Pakistanis etc. I have been there many Times their fish tikka massala is excellant and their balti dall is one of the best i have had anywhere. I have not tried all of their menu but the things i have were really tasty.
