We now report on three fatal road accidents which occurred in the last 24 hours.

We begin at Highway 36, which leads to Rayong Province, where Police Sub-Lieutenant Wachara from Banglamung Police Station was called to the location in the early hours of Friday Morning after reports of an overturned lorry were received. Rescue Workers arrived and began the slow process of extricating the driver of the truck, Khun Giradaert aged 29, who works for the Sor Boonlua Service Company. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck was full of Tapioca Flour and the cause of the crash is unknown as there were no witnesses. Police suspect he fell asleep at the wheel of the truck which was transporting the flour from Rayong to Laem Chabang.

We now take you to the Sukumvit Road and another fatal road accident investigated by Banglamung Police. Reports of a crash involving a motorbike with sidecar and a Volkswagen Van were received. At the scene, Police inspected the body of the motorbike driver, Khun Wichien aged 46 and questioned the driver of the Van, Khun Anoopong aged 27. He explained that he was returning from the Airport in Bangkok when he failed to spot the motorbike which made a last-minute u-turn maneuver. He broke sharply but could not avoid a high speed collision with the bike. He was placed under arrest and is now facing charges of reckless driving causing death.

Finally, we take you to a road in Keow Mai Geow sub-district, where a fatal road crash occurred on Friday Morning. Police Sub-Lieutenant Wachara from Banglamung Police Station was called in to investigate and begun by inspecting the body of Khun Woragit aged only 15. He was driving a motorbike at a high rate of speed and lost control of the vehicle which hit a fast approaching Mitsubishi pick-up in the opposite lane. The driver of the pick-up decided not to remain at the scene, even though Police do not intend to charge the driver with any offences
