Reply Notifications Icon Not Working

One of the great improvements to this forum added a while back was the notifications icon that allows us to see that a post has been replied to. Even when the number of replies is not listed in red, we can see who has replied by clicking on the icon. It opens up and we can see who has replied and then click on the "quoted post" portion in the icon that will link us directly to the reply . However, this feature seems to no longer be working. I know this from a thread I have been following for the last day. There have been two replies to posts I have made, but they have not shown up in the icon. Has anyone else had this problem? It may not noticeable unless you specifically know that someone has replied to a thread and the reply has not shown up in the icon.

I have had this problem on and off for the last month.

Mostly what will happen is there will be no notification notice at all but when I click on the thread again I see that someone has quoted me directly yet I received no notification of it.

Your reply showed up in my icon. However, I can't understand why the two replies I referenced in my post did not. I guess the two  posts were just an anomaly.

Since the replies to a couple of my recent posts have just shown up in the icon, my guess is that what you have experienced is happening on a sporadic basis to some us on this forum.
