Problem With Linking to Replies to Posts

A while back the forum was changed to allow posters to directly access responses to their posts by clicking an icon at the top of the page. However, for some reason, that feature has been chnaged. Clicking the icon will only allow you to access first page of the thread that contains the reply to your post. So if the reply occurs on page 30, you have to go through 30 pages to find it. When the new feaure was introduced, it greatly simplified the ability to directly access replies to posts. I can't understand why the forum administrators have backtracked on this feature.

There was a forum upgrade done yesterday. I guess they (ie Invision) changed the software. It was not a conscious decision to make this change. I also see that the way quotes look when replying to posts has changed.

This seems like a downgrade, not an upgrade, IMHO.

You would consider it an upgrade if you were aware of the problems that we have been having recently. There were some issues that seem to be resolved now. Yes, it is a bit of a pain when useful features disappear but the forum software must be kept up to date or big problems can occur.

The problem has now been fixed. Everything is back to normal.
