IOS Upgrade Software

My on has been given an old PC Mac Book, but it does not have the latest update of the operating software.

 

As I understand it, you cannot just update/upgrade to the latest operating software without going through the various upgrade software, which can be costly

 

Anybody know where I can buy cheap IOS upgrades to resolve this?

Try an Apple store or an authorized retailer. They are found throughout Thailand. Take your MacBook with you. They will set you straight.

Maybe incrementally upgrading will be expensive, but reformatting and installing the latest will be cheaper?

If it's really old (say from 2007/2008 or so), you might not be able to upgrade to the latest OS.

 

Best to check that before you spend your money on something you can't use!
