How to call abroad from Pattaya?

I'm not sure if I should use my own sim from home (Three in the UK) or get my phone unlocked and use a thai sim over there which I can top up....what do you guys do?

go to CAT and get an International card which can load on a standard Thai phone say 500 bhats

then use a 4 digit code (supplied) to access this cat card and you have cheap calls to the UK

get a thai sim card, usually around 1 bht per minute. if u cant get ur phone unblocked just buy a cheap thai phone

Buy a cheap phone and SIM over here.

 

Tesco Lotus have some very cheap phones (under £20) and you can keep your UK 3 one for emergencies.
