Man falls asleep at the wheel and collides with stationary Truck.

 

 

In the early hours of Wednesday Morning, The Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation were called into action to extricate a trapped and injured Thai Man who had become trapped in the cab of his pick-up after a rear-end collision with a stationary Truck. The injured man was identified as Khun Sooriwong aged 39 who sustained head and chest injuries. He explained to Rescue Workers that he was driving in the Na-Jomtien area and fell asleep for a few seconds. He woke up and found himself trapped in his badly damaged vehicle. The victim was coherent and appeared not to be intoxicated and confirmed that he was tired and should not have driven his vehicle at that time. Khun Sooriwong was taken to the Bangkok-Pattaya Hospital where he is now recovering from his injuries. Police from Sattahip have been assigned to the case and will interview the driver on Wednesday Night.
