cell phone questions

I've never had a cell phone and i need one in Pattaya for general convenience.What would be a good,inexpensive phone with just calls and text be?Where would be the best place to buy it and how much should i expect to pay?Thanks

I lost mine in march, went to a cellphone store, told them I needed a phone with text possibillity and a sim card. notthing else was needed. Got a Nokia that was fine with me, 1200 for the phone and 500 for a prepaid sim card. lasted my to weeks. Dont by them from street vendors.

i bought a basic Nokia from Big C in Bangkok, for 890baht.

your best bet in Pattaya is Tukcom, where you should get a good deal on phone and sim packages.

You can get a basic nokia that will call and text for around 700 -750B A sim will cost 50B. Top up credit - up to u
