mobile - bombarded by nuisance text messages

Kinda regretting picking up the free TRUE sim card from the airport. It's about midday and my 2nd day here and today I already have had 4 text messages from TRUE sending me irrelevant messages. If you don't wanna be bombarded by junk texts then avoid TRUE - truly shite

Completely unrelated, but last week I had 2 missed calls from an 02.... number.

I don't usually call back if I don't know who it is, but there being 2 calls I did.

It went straight to an auto' message in Thai so I tried to cancel the call.

Not only could I not stop it, but I couldn't do anything else with the phone.

I ripped the battery out to stop it, but at a guess about 200 Baht appeared to have gone.

Is that scam still happening today does anyone know?

My Thai SIM is with Happy - every day I am there I get these messages in Thai script from the phone company - or someone, at least I thought from the phone company because who else would have a new number? - they shit me. I don't want them!
