Made to measure shoes

At the end of last month, I went to the Pattaya Shoe Shop on Pratamnak Road. It's just past Soi 14 as you walk away from South Pattaya Road and opposite where the buses park up to go down to Jomtien.

 

I chose a style of shoe I liked and the guy took various measurements. He asked when I was leaving but I told him that I lived here so time wasn't an issue. The price was 2,200 baht though doubtless I could have bargained him down a bit. He gave me a card and said to come back a week later - I assume he could make them quicker if required, but I wasn't in a hurry. I paid a deposit of 1,00 baht.

 

I went back a couple of days after the date on the card and apart from being a little tight due to them being brand new, they were a very good fit. I've been wearing them now for about 2 weeks now and they really are very comfortable. Certainly, I would be happy to buy another pair from him.
