I have a headache. -OK INJECTION FOR YOU!

Really, Im a bit skeptic about the overflow of medecine and antibiotics flow in Thailand. I was informed today that my thai mother in law is on a regular routine of some injection.

 

The injection is supposed to keep away her headache, as she can not sleep with this headache.

Now WTF is that all about? Injection for a headache?

 

Anyone know about these injections? I guess its not normal paracetamol or aspirin?

Is it harmful for the body if the usage is extended?

 

I tried to google the matter, but can not find anything relevant.

Sounds like migraine . I would say the injection is some sort of blood thinner .

Don't think it's a good idea to take it on a regular base .

I ended up at the clinic on 2 occasions for 2 different things last trip.

One time I received 2 injections and 3 different types of tablets.

The 2nd time 1 injection and 2 lots of tablets.

 

It is a little scary how easily they will hand out medication over there.

I think for a holiday it may be alright by if I was there long term your body may build up a resistance to some of the many medications they prescribe (or even over the counter stuff actually)
